The 4FireDoors Fire Rated Letterbox is an ABS framed, telescopic letterbox designed for use with FD30 fire doors. It features a satin anodised aluminium flap that provides durability and a sleek appearance.
In the event of a fire, the letterbox's intumescent liner rapidly expands, sealing off the opening and preventing the spread of fire and smoke. This feature enhances the safety of the building and its occupants.
The letterbox is also designed to provide draught exclusion, helping to reduce energy costs. It is equipped with internal brushes that effectively seal off any gaps, preventing cold air from entering and warm air from escaping.
The telescopic sleeve of the letterbox allows for easy installation on doors with thicknesses ranging from 40mm to 80mm. This versatility ensures compatibility with a wide range of door types.
Additionally, the letterbox is equipped with a weather seal on the external side of the letterplate. This seal helps to keep out rain, wind, and other elements, ensuring the contents of the letterbox remain protected.
The letterplate flap opens to an angle of 170°, providing ample space for mail to be inserted or retrieved. This convenient design feature makes the letterbox user-friendly and practical.
